With 2017 coming to a close, I just wanted to list some of my running goals for 2018 and hope to hear from you on what your goals, whether strictly fitness or anything else.

Run AT LEAST 5 more states for the Half-Marathon list – My schedule will start to get a bit busier in the coming months (announcement coming soon). So part of it is figuring out what weekends I can get races in. Hopefully I’ll be able to start to get some back to back days over the weekends in neighboring states.

Run a half-marathon in under 1 hour and 20 minutes – I was able to get under 1:40 and 1:30 this year. So the naturally I would like to get under 1:20. It’ll be a challenge but a challenge I want to do. I know with extra mileage and better speed training will get me there.

Run a sub 19 minute Turkey Trot – I love the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trots. They are a lot of fun. This year was no exception. I clocked in at 19:44 and felt as though I could have run a tad bit faster.

Improve my mental toughness in running in all conditions – I want to be able to run in all conditions. Race weekend won’t always provide ideal conditions and I need to be better at that. Especially running in the wind and when it’s cold outside (20-30 degrees).

Log at least 2,000 Miles – I will have hit over 1,000 miles by the end of 2017. I want to double that for 2018. While there are a variety of ways to improve times, one simple way is to just simply get more miles.

If anyone has any recommendations for races, 5K – Full, please let me know! All states and countries are encouraged.
