Weekend Sendoff: March 2nd, 2018

Finally continuing the pursuit of 50 Half-Marathons in 50 States with two races this weekend. First off Saturday morning, I’ll be running in West Virginia and then on Sunday morning I’ll be running in New Hampshire. With the Crossfit Open officially underway with 18.2 being released Thursday night, I read a nice profile of an athlete I have admired since 2008/2009, Rich Froning Jr. He was a four-time (in a row) champion of the Crossfit Games. It’s hard not to think about what could have been.


A Hidden component of Baseball, being really strong. Tim Kurkjian of ESPN wrote an article about the New York Yankees boasting two of the strongest in game currently, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.


A Subtle Remainder that Lifting Weights is supposed to “Stress” the Body. Tony Gentilcore has been a big influence on me this week. He was on a The Movement Fix Podcast and he wrote a good article this week. When working with patients, I let them know when we do some of the exercises the weight will be challenging because we need to stress your body and make it work in order to elicit the change we are going for.
