I decided in 2017 I am just going to start running every day. I made a goal to run at least 1 mile a day and then it became run a 5K every day. That run streak then grew a bucket list of running a half marathon in every state and then a full marathon to eventually wanting to run the Big 6 of Boston, Chicago, New York, Berlin, London, Tokyo. I have yet to do any of those! My run streak came to an end on February 15th, 2022. It ended on Day 1,721 and at that point I had only finished fifteen states on my half marathon list.
I lost my entire 2022 with some running here and there while pushing through some side effects of treatments due to health. By the beginning of 2023, I told myself I am going to race and I’m just going to start a new running streak. I started to log everything again to keep myself accountable. Got back to running half marathons again by the end of year with no expectations other than to push through and finish.
